Black holes

BLACK HOLES
i wrote this poem to emphatize with my professor and to show the dark side of
some "righteous" man in the world of academe. Even "righteousness" goes into the deep.

I could not decipher how black a black hole is
I could never imagine even in my wildest dream
Those Greek and Roman gods and goddesses
come into existence
Once venerated
But now they are just a piece of history.

Black holes were once a gleaming star
Like the one that guides the three kings into a barn,
the pearl which the pirates hunt in the Carribean,
the one that gives blood to everyone,
and the food that makes one alive.

The long hand of the greatest historian
strikes into the time that separates black and white.
It marks the end of a masquerade ball.
The light which we all thought of that gives life
now brings the spear into Achilles' heel during the fight
brings the bullet into Ninoy's proud head
and lastly offers the vampire to Hades for its eternal rest.

I fear the blackhole's might
'Cause it can thwart me in just one strike of its magic wand but
I am sure that black holes will also reach its destiny
where even the books can never explain.
